Start and Growth

In 1989, David Baszucki started the company focusing on mechanical engineering and physics and met Erik Cassel later. Both planned to create an online world for gamers around the globe.

The company started MSC software, allowing developers to explore the industry of gaming. In 2005, the beta version was released. Creators wanted to bring physics into the games, making entertaining games for kids on this platform. This is where the popularity of the platform started.

In 2006, September, the game’s final version came, eventually growing with new and distinct features, becoming popular in the gaming world.

Later, it joined the metaverse, bringing user-generated material where gamers could enter or exit different virtual worlds and create or play their favorite games.

Tragedy and then Growth

Erik Cassel, Roblox’s co-founder passed away in 2013 after battling cancer and the team honored him by calling this day a black day. This became a tragic time for the platform. In 2016, the platform linked with Oculus and released Roblox VR. The block game then changed to a polished version.

With the addition of multiplayer content, creators said that gamers know more about the game than they did. Children explored and discovered new things in the game and grew their potential. This helped designer enhance their talent.
